Mazda3 now with available i-Activ AWD

The Mazda3 with available i-Activ AWD, confidently conquers any road surface your journey throws at it.

Confident Control. Anywhere

The Mazda3 Sport offers Mazda's own optional i-Activ all-wheel-drive system. It uses readings from 200 sensors that analyze everything from windshield wiper usage and outside temperatures to forecast possible loss of traction. This allows the Mazda3 to take action to prevent loss of traction before it happens, for a confident, responsive drive no matter the conditions. During the Winter months, many cars are covered up and put to bed for the season. But at Mazda, we believe the joy of driving should never sleep. That’s why we created the Mazda3 with available i-Activ All-Wheel Drive.

ACT INSTEAD OF REACT

The Mazda3's i-Activ AWD uses data from 200 sensors to predict the loss of traction and act to prevent it. This allows you to act instead of react.

i-Activ AWD continuously monitors changes in driving conditions to forecast potential loss of traction. Whatever the weather conditions or terrain, i-Activ AWD delivers a reliable response – rain, sleet or snow. While many cars have trouble with snowy terrain during the winter, i-Activ AWD's predictive capabilities mean you can confidently act instead of react to changes in road conditions.

EFFICIENT AT EVERY TURN

The Mazda3;s i-Activ AWD system uses ingenious engineering to ensure fuel efficient, confident control.

Our engineers designed the i-Activ AWD system to only distribute power at the exact time it is needed. This results in significant fuel savings as all-wheel-drive is not initiated unless needed. This is just one of the ways Mazda seeks to ensure our drivers always have confident control but also reinforces our commitment to producing class-leading fuel efficient vehicles.

The IIHS rates the Mazda3 as a Top Safety Pick, making it one of the safest vehicles on the road.
The Mazda3 is backed by Angevaare Mazda's Unlimited Mileage Warranty. Allowing you to focus on the joy of the ride and not worry about the distance of the journey.
