Which is why we are proud that the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) has acknowledged this an awarded our redesigned 2017 CX-5 a IIHS Top Safety Pick designation. To achieve this designation a vehicle receives a battery of rigorous crash and safety tests.
The Mazda CX-5 met all the IIHS’ Top Safety Plus criteria, earning “Good” scores in all 5 crash worthiness tests the institute uses in its testing. The CX-5 joins our other vehicles which have also received a Top Safety Pick designation, the Mazda 3, 6, CX-3 and CX-9. With this, Mazda’s entire lineup.
