The redesigned 2017 Mazda CX-5 might look very different from its predecessor but it is still one of the safest SUVs you will find on the road.

At Mazda we strive to always be improving our vehicles to better enable our customers to have an exhilarating driving experience. Something as important as the fun to drive feeling of our cars is how safe they are on the road. Which is why we are proud that the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) has acknowledged this an awarded our redesigned 2017 CX-5 a IIHS Top Safety Pick designation. To achieve this designation a vehicle receives a battery of rigorous crash and safety tests.

The Mazda CX-5 met all the IIHS’ Top Safety Plus criteria, earning “Good” scores in all 5 crash worthiness tests the institute uses in its testing. The CX-5 joins our other vehicles which have also received a Top Safety Pick designation, the Mazda 3, 6, CX-3 and CX-9. With this, Mazda’s entire lineup.
