We asked our Sales Team what their favorite features of the 2019 Mazda CX-5 were. From the sophisticated Signature trim to our ventilated seats' ingenious approach to cooling, each feature highlights just how much more vehicle you get when you get yourself a Mazda CX-5.
Sylvia like the fact that the entry-level CX-5 comes with some great standard features like 17" Gunmetal Rims as well as LED headlights and day time running lights. So at a glance, you cannot tell if it is a GX or GS Model. This vehicle is also equipped with heated seats, blind spot monitoring, back up camera with rear cross traffic alert, smart city brake support, apple car play/android auto. All this starting at only $27,925 for the FWD makes it a great and very affordable SUV.
"My two favourite things in the CX-5 are the ventilated front seats and the cylinder deactivation on the turbo engine, providing a ton of power and fuel efficiency" - Dylan Macfair
Efficiency and Comfort
Dylan Macfair is a big fan of the CX-5's ventilated seats which deal with cooling seats in a way that is different from the norm. Most cars seats provide cooling by blowing cool are through the seat onto the back of the driver and their passenger. This sensation has been described as uncomfortable for some. At Mazda, we take a different approach. The ventilated seats of the Mazda CX-5 draw warm air away from the passenger. This provides the same cooling result but is more comfortable than having cold air blown against your back.
"I think the Signature trim is a really beautiful machine - Jason McInnis"
Sophistication That Rivals Luxury
Jason McInnis loves the introduction of the CX-5 Signature trim. It takes an already beautiful machine with an amazing exterior, up to a whole new level. The luxurious Nappa Leather seats and Abachi wood trimmings really create a cabin that feels refined and sophisticated. This combined with major reduction in NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) create a cabin that is comfortable, beautiful and calm. Mazda aimed to raise the bar for what mass market vehicles could achieve and some would even agree the CX-5's Signature trim brushes shoulders with mid-size SUVs in the luxury segment.
Even critics agree with cars.com reviewer Brian Wong saying, "Nearly $40,000 might have once seemed like an insane price for an SUV, but glance around at some of the competition: The 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan and Chevrolet Equinox, to name just a couple, both break that barrier with options. I think that the CX-5 is better to drive, has superior materials and looks nicer than both of those vehicles."
At Mazda, we go above and beyond to create vehicles that truly bring the joy of driving to life. In the CX-5 this is achieved through the tireless work of craftsmen and engineers who are passionate about driving. The end result is one of the best looking, most enjoyable to drive mid-size SUVs on the market. So much so, that the Mazda CX-5 is AJAC's Best Mid Size Utility Vehicle in Canada for 2019.
